How to Register on ICEGATE?

The process of ICEGATE Registration is simple and can be done online. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the registration process:

Step 1: Visit the ICEGATE Website

Go to the official ICEGATE website at www.icegate.gov.in .

Step 2: Create a User ID

  • On the homepage, click on the “Registration” option.
  • Choose the appropriate category of user (Importers/Exporters/Customs Broker, etc.).
  • Fill in the necessary details, including your business information, contact details, and customs-related documents.

Step 3: Submit Supporting Documents

You will need to upload supporting documents to verify your business, such as:

  • Import Export Code (IEC) issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
  • GST Number for tax purposes.
  • PAN Card for business identity.
  • Bank Account Details for payment processing.

Step 4: Create a Login and Password

  • After entering the required details, you will be asked to create a username and password for logging into the system.
  • Ensure you remember this information as it will be required to access ICEGATE services in the future.

Step 5: Verification and Approval

Once the details are submitted, your application will be reviewed by the Customs Department. If everything is in order, your registration will be approved.

Step 6: Confirmation of Registration
